Books: The Perfect Travel Companion

There’s something special about traveling with a good book. On my recent trip to India, reading became the perfect companion, whether I was settling into my seat on the plane or finding a quiet moment between adventures.

As I explored India, I loved discovering bookstores along the way. Each one offered a glimpse into the local reading culture and reminded me that a love of books can make an unfamiliar place feel instantly welcoming.

One of my favorite surprises was at our hotel, where every floor had its own book exchange. Guests could take a book and leave one for the next reader. I was delighted to take a new story with me and leave two books behind for someone else to discover.

That simple exchange captured what I love most about reading: stories travel, connect people, and keep finding new homes. A book can keep you company across the world, then continue its journey with another reader long after your own trip is over.

Whether you’re boarding a plane, relaxing at a hotel, or exploring somewhere new, don’t forget to pack a good book. It may become one of your favorite travel companions.
